Abbey Ward
Munwar Hussain Chaudhary

"I live in Normanton which covers the area of Abbey. I have worked at Derby Jamia Mosque for 13 years."
"I have daily interactions with many people and am well known in Abbey & Normanton."
"I am committed to helping the whole community in Abbey with any issues they have. I am committed to helping with fly-tipping, Antisocial behaviour, drug use & pot holes. In my spare time, I am available to help out with charity events, and fundraisings."
Adam Hurt

Adam has lived all of his life in Derby and is very passionate about his city. He is an avid football fan and enjoys traveling.
​
Adam wants to deal with hard-hitting issues that face Abbey such as ASB, Fly tipping, and most notably HMO's which is an increasing problem for Abbey.
​
If elected he would ensure a visible presence for all the residents and make sure he is accessible to all those who need support.

Allestree
Cllr Steve Hassall
​
Steve was first elected to represent Allestree Ward in 2015. Steve has industry experience in a variety of sectors, including engineering, education in the justice system through to apprenticeship training as well property and facilities management.
​
Steve has proudly served as a Councillor for Allestree for the past eight years and continues to be a strong advocate for residents on issues like the Kedleston housing development, University parking issues and ensuring residents are adequately consulted on the Allestree Park Rewilding project.

Kieran Morgan-McGeehan AICA

Kieran is the newest candidate to be selected as Allestree’s next Councillor.
Originally from Lancashire, Kieran has lived in Allestree since 2019 and, together with his wife and their spaniel, made Allestree their home.
​
Kieran’s a breath of fresh air for Allestree, but at the same time, he also brings previous experience of serving as an elected Councillor for 7 years with him, having also served on various committees, including Staffing, Planning and Finance & General Purposes during that time with the added responsibility of being the Chair of those committees.
​
Recently, Kieran has also set up and become a Director of Allestree Alliance, a community organisation that has been set up for the benefit of Allestree, to promote allestree’s businesses, and to host a range of community events throughout the year.
Cllr Ged Potter
​
Ged and his family have lived in Allestree for over 37 years. His daughters attended local Allestree schools and were involved in local community groups. A former Police Detective and current vice chair of the Derbyshire Police Crime Panel, Ged recognises the negative effects that such matters as anti-social behaviour and nuisance parking causes and works hard encouraging a team ethic with those having the responsibility to resolve such matters.
As a Councillor Ged prides himself on his local involvement and availability within the community. Ged is also a member of a local GP's Patient Participation Group and member of the Allestree Library Steering Group.
Ged is also a director of the Allestree Alliance which facilitates numer a number of major community events in Allestree, such as the Dog Show, Scarecrow fest, the Car Show, and a monthly Car Boot sale.
Ged continues his involvement in supporting charity events benefitting Mcmillan Cancer Support.
Alvaston North
Chloe Kelly

Chloe lives in Alvaston North for a number of years and has worked locally in the utility sector for over 3 years. Previously, she spent many years in the care sector supporting some of the most vulnerable in her community to live a fulfilled life.
Chloe has at her heart the interests of the ward and wishes to make the area better for local families. She will aim to do this by improving areas for our children to enjoy the outdoors and helping reduce anti-social behaviour rates.
Alvaston South
Zach Wayman

Zach lives in Alvaston and has worked in and around Derby for the past 6 years looking after local communities in the funeral care sector.
​
He is committed to a better Alvaston and will work with local residents to ensure we live in a pleasant, clean and tidy ward free of anti-social behaviour. Zach will work with the Derby Conservative group to ensure your council tax is well spent and your priorities are actioned.

Peter Berry

Peter is a former Conservative Cllr and is very passionate about local government. A former "Postie" and military man, Peter knows exactly what is expected to serve the local residents in Blagreaves.

Peter wants to see the continued work the current administration is doing with regeneration but also bring in free bulky waste sessions to residents in Blagreaves.

Abbey Ward
Chaddesden East
Cllr Jerry Pearce

Jerry has been Councillor in Chaddesden for the last 4 years. "I hope I've made some difference to the Ward in those 4 years and love working in and with this fantastic Community."
Quizmaster at The Wilmot Arms in Chaddesden. Local resident, on hand at all times. Involved in all Chaddesden events over the years The Big One, Easter Egg Hunt, Christmas Fair, Chad Christmas Tree, etc. He is determined to clamp down on ASB in the area.
John Wright

John has a wealth of experience solving problems as a teacher, police officer, IT executive, and running his own business in Derby.
​
He is standing in Chaddesden East where his roots are and where he is tackling local priorities such as anti-social behaviour, litter, and roads.
John's commitment to residents is hard work, creating opportunities, and positive action. He is a family man and enjoys walking and traveling in his spare time.
Chaddesden North
Jon Harrison
​
Jon is 37, lives in Derby, works in the steel sector, and has many years of community campaigning experience, including as Chairman of his local Tenant's and Resident's Association.
Derby born and Derbyshire bred, Jon is passionate about ensuring that Chaddesden North is an enjoyable place to live. His local priorities are tacking anti social behaviour, including loud scooters and motorbikes, and tackling littering, dog fouling and fly tipping - and he was delighted at the recent arrests of local trouble makers.
He is constantly on the look out for potholes and other road repairs when out and about in the ward and is excited about the new resurfacing project on St. Andrews View.
Jakob Marshall

Jakob Marshall is a local Chaddesden resident and has been involved with several Chaddesden events including our annual poppies drive and Chaddesden Christmas market.
​
His main priorities for Chaddesden North are tackling the Wollaton road litter situation which he has been keeping on top of already, tackling ASB, and combating dog mess throughout the ward.
​
Jakob has been busy tackling ASB by requesting funding from the Safer Streets fund from the council and is currently working with the council and police to get the funding implemented
Chaddesden West
Ashley Clarke
​
Ashley lives in Chaddesden and has worked at Giftware company, Richard Lang & Son for over 10 years.
​
He is committed to helping the residents of Chaddesden West with any local issues they may have, whilst his priorities are keeping the area clean, tidy, working to reduce anti-social behaviour and number of joyriders in the area.
​
In his spare time, Ashley helps run a local grassroots junior football club working with kids aged 4 to 18 maintaining their fitness, providing positive social skills and keeping them off street corners.
Cllr Tracey Pearce

Tracey has been a Derwent Councillor for the last 2 years. "I hope I've started to make a difference in the Ward and I've been active over those 2 years.
Local resident, born and bred in Chaddesden and have been living in the Ward for the last 17 years".

"I love Chaddesden and with family and friends still living here, it's home to me. I am a grandmother to 7 fantastic grandkids. I want to get rid of the ASB issues in the Ward and am determined to work with the Police to solve it."
Chellaston & Shelton Lock
Matt Brentnall

Matt has worked at JCB, as a team leader for over 10 years, and prior to that 11 years at Toyota.
He is committed to helping the residents of Chellaston and Shelton lock in with any local issues they may have, whilst his priorities are
Free sports camps for children, keeping the area clean, and tidy, working to reduce anti-social behaviour with more police presence.
In his spare time, Matt is the chairman of a local grassroots junior football club working with kids aged 4 to 15 maintaining their fitness, providing positive social skills, and keeping them off the streets.
Ross McCristal

Ross lives in Chellaston. He is committed to working hard to improve Chellaston, Shelton Lock and Derby.

Ross is a trustee of War Memorial Village Derby in Shelton Lock and is committed to the needs of his local community. He wants to work along with his friends and colleagues Matt & Harvey to bring a closer Chellaston & Shelton Lock together.
Harvey Jennings

Harvey lives in Shelton Lock and is a serving councillor and Chair of the War Memorial Village Derby. He is committed to ensuring that investment in the Chellaston and Shelton Lock Ward is one of the top priorities of the city council whether that be an investment in our parks, play areas, roads and footpaths, tackling anti-social behaviour and keeping our neighbourhood clean and tidy.
He is always available to help local residents with any local issues they may have. In his spare time, Harvey manages the War Memorial Village in Shelton Lock ensuring the long history
of looking after our veterans at a local level takes place.
Darley
Julio Abraham
Julio is a Visionary, Strategic, and Entrepreneur Leader with an extensive experience in social venturing and business. He has worked as Church leader, Youth Developer, Physical Commodities Trader, Managing Director and CEO of several Charities. Julio has nurtured and developed hundreds of leaders who are making an impact around the world.
Julio has raised funds for both businesses and Charitie. In Derby led Derby City Mission for 6 years and in that time he helped oversaw the exponential growth of the organisation.

Julio is committed to representing & helping Darley Ward residents with any local issue most of which he is acquainted with as a proud local resident of Darley himself. Whilst his priorities are a strong voice for the Darley residents, safer schools, preservation of parks and green spaces, and keeping Darley safe.
Alan Grimadell

Alan is an experienced local politician
with many years of experience as a Councillor.
He has worked on numerous committees at Derby City Council including climate change, planning, audit and accounts, Quad, De Da, and Derby Museums.

Ed is a local campaigner who has lived in the Littleover area for many years. He is committed to working hard for the residents of Littleover.
His priorities in this Election are tackling Anti Social behavior and improving Road safety. Ed cares passionately about protecting green spaces and supporting local community events.

Ed has a background in social research and in his spare time he enjoys hiking and traveling’.
Matthew Osborne

Matthew grew up in Littleover and is very keen to help and support residents in his community. He works at Rolls Royce PLC in Derby.
​
Matthew wants to work alongside Balbir & Ed to create a community-led team that supports and nourishes the residents in Littlover.
​
He wants to continue with the extensive road resurfacing program that has been implemented in the city thanks to the additional £9 million given by the Conservative-led council. Matthew is keen to work with local police to address concerns around ASB and crime which many residents have been concerned about.
​
In his spare time, Matthew is an avid Derby County fan and loves traveling across europe.
Mackworth & New Zealand
Cllr Gaurav Pandey

Gaurav has been a dedicated Councillor for Mackworth for 2 years since his election in 2019. He champions Clean Derby and Stop Litter campaigns most noticeably with Mcdonald's.
He worked as a chef before entering into politics and is very passionate about the community and the area. Since getting elected, he has organised many events in the ward, such as clean-ups, Christmas decorations, and lamp post poppy displays. He also ensured that neighbourhood board funding got distributed fairly across the ward.
Adrian Pegg

Adrian has lived in and loved the Mackworth and New Zealand area for nearly 60 years. His passion to both supporting and ‘give back’ to his local community remains as strong as ever. As a councillor during 2018 - 2022 he was able to make a difference and work to improve the quality of life here for all of us.
As both a councillor in the past and now as a local resident he supports the Neighbourhood teams, Deep Clean initiatives and all other initiatives that will bring REAL benefits to our area. Above all as a councillor he would always be accessible – a local and visible presence ‘on hand ‘to help any resident.
Michael Walsh

Habib Tafseer
Lives in Normanton and has done so since 1997. He is very actively involved in the community and is self-employed. He runs a Fish & Chips restaurant in Cromford, Matlock.
He has got a degree in Biology and has been a Hardwick Primary School governor for 5 years.
He is always active to keep Fly-tipping away from the local community and reports regularly to the council. His main mission is to work closely with the local community for a cleaner, safer and happier Normanton
He would also like to create activities for children & young adults so they can be engaged in positive things in life.
Abbey Ward
Oakwood
Cllr Matthew Eyre
​
Matthew has been an Oakwood Ward Councillor since May 2021 and Council Cabinet Member since October 2021.
He graduated from the University of Derby in 2019 with a First Class Honours Law Degree, coming top of his class in each of his three years.
Prior to his election, he spent two years as a Ward Campaigner in Oakwood, where he lives, volunteering at everything from litter picks to OakFest, Youth Clubs to Chaddesden Wood monthly events.
​
His time as a Councillor has been focused on improving Oakwood's assets, including Oakwood Park and Chaddesden Wood, successfully increasing Oakwood's allocation of neighbourhood funding and improving access to Defibrillators.
He now wants to focus on long-term projects to further improve the ward and tackle long-standing issues.
Jamie Mulhall

Jamie lives in Derby and works in project management at Rolls-Royce PLC in development and experimental engineering, Jamie is absolutely committed to helping and supporting the people of oakwood in whatever capacity he can.
Jamies' key priorities are helping to keep the local area clean and vibrant and dealing with anti-social behaviour particularly focusing on e-scooters and scrambler bikes.

Just like Matt & Freya, he has immersed himself into the Oakwood community by supporting local events and activities. He wants to drive that passion forward with his fellow colleagues.

In his spare time, Jamie is a keen scuba Diver.
Freya Trewhella
​
Freya has been a member of Oakwood's Local Team since 2020 and attended hundreds of events and activities to join in and capture photos of the existing Oakwood Councillors prior to becoming an Oakwood Ward Campaigner last year.
She grew up in a housing association property in a single-parent family, studied her way to University and is now a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse. She lives in Oakwood and is based at a Veterinary Practice in the ward, having previously worked on Pride Park. She also has a number of rescued guinea pigs.
Freya fell in love with community work by volunteering with Dementia Friendly Oakwood, Friends of Chaddesden Wood and other local groups and she is determined to be a Councillor who supports residents to achieve their goals. She will be voice for all and is passionate about further improving our green spaces and natural offer.
Sinfin & Osmaston
Jay Joshi

Abbey Ward
Spondon
Cllr Chris Poulter

After serving 39 years in the Derbyshire Police, Chris was first elected to represent Spondon in 2006. He has lived in Spondon for over thirty years with his family, who have grown up in the community.
​
Chris is well known in the community and has the best interests of Spondon at heart. He enjoys working with the community and to bring in practical solutions to residents in Spondon whenever issues arise.
​
Chris is keen to see a continued expansion of the resurfacing program which has seen in the last few years some significant main routes in Spondon repaired and resurfaced. He also wants to continue working with the local police around the usual ASB hotspots that arise in the local community.

Cllr Nicola Roulstone
​
Nicola was born in Spondon where she still lives with her husband and 3 children. She attended St Werburghs School and was married at St Werburghs church.
Nicola has worked in finance since she completed her AAT apprenticeship and has served as Cabinet Member for Finance from 2018-2021 and now works in Finance at West Park School.
​
Nicola has been a local ward councillor since 2015. She is committed to helping the residents of Spondon with any local issues they may have, whilst her priorities are to continue to work alongside local community groups including Spondon Library Steering Group, Friends of Spondon Parks, and Safer Spondon.
​
Nicola enjoys coordinating community events such as Spondon Family Fun Day and Queens Jubilee events. In her spare time, Nicola enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dog in local parks, and socializing in Spondon.

Cllr Jonathan Smale
​
Jonathan is a serving Cllr for Chaddesden for 7 years before being selected to represent his home ward Spondon.
​
Jonathan who lives in Spondon was Steward of the Spondon Village Club for a number of years before he entered politics. He is very passionate about Spondon and is dedicated to helping people when in need.
​
He is currently a School Govoner at West Park Community School and realises many challenges ahead for the community, in particular the "Save The Woods" campaign. He also wants to continue the good work that the current councillors have established, by working with community groups.
